1. They Are Grateful And Positive
People who have money are grateful for what they have. They never dwell on their constraints or limitations.
I’m talking about having a positive attitude and a healthy respect for money. Without this type of mindset, having money becomes more difficult.
So, get a positive vibe going. Be open to all possibilities.
However, being grateful does not mean being satisfied. Channel your positive energy into making, saving, and investing money.
2. They Are Focused On Using Time Wisely
People who have money are intentional with their time.
Remember the old expression, “Time is money?”
It is a very wise saying. So, be productive and efficient at work to maximize your earnings. Take time for personal development to get better at what you do.
Maximize your leisure hours. Make the most of them so you are fresh, energized, and creative when it’s time to work.

3. They Are Decisive
People with money avoid indecision. When confronted with a choice, they gather the facts and decide.
Indecision creates stress and wastes time and energy. I don’t mean making snap, reckless decisions. It always pays to take your time, gather the facts, and consider the alternatives.
After making a decision, productive people get busy and complete the necessary tasks to make the decision a success. They do not procrastinate and never look back to second-guess themselves.
4. They Are Intentional About Their Spending
People who have money are intentional about their spending.
Determine what you value in life. And spend money on that. Then eliminate the rest. Most importantly, be conscious and intentional about where, how, and what you spend money on.
Do the simple things before you spend money, such as comparison shopping and deferring big-ticket items. Wait one week before purchasing to see if your desire to buy disappears.
5. They Never Make Excuses
People who have money own up to their mistakes. They never make excuses.
What Is An Excuse?
Here is a quote from the book Everyday Millionaires: “An excuse is a skin of a lie wrapped with a reason.” Or, “an excuse is a lie dressed up as an explanation.”
Finally, one of my hard-working co-workers always said, “Results, not excuses.”
So, now that you know what an excuse is, stop making excuses relating to your money. That doesn’t mean you or I will never make a mistake or temporarily go off course. Indeed, it happens.
Just be honest with yourself. Admit and learn from your mistakes, and never make excuses.
6. They Set A Vision For Their Financial Future
People who have money create a clear vision about their future money state.
For example, do you have a destination when you take a trip? Of course, you do. Few of us get in our car or board a plane without a clear idea of where we want to go.
As a result, develop a good idea of what you want to become and what your life will look like when you get there.
Here are some questions for your consideration. Ask yourself:
- What kind of job will I have?
- Where will I live?
- What will my life partner be like?
- What will my friends do?
- How much money will I have?
- What do I value in my future state?
Thus, start your money journey with a destination in mind. Think big and believe. If you can envision it, you can achieve it.
Finally, people with money are never limited by their thoughts. Thus, make your vision a limitless story about achieving your financial dreams.

7. They Make A Plan To Achieve Their Vision
With their vision in mind, people who always have money create an action plan.
Thus, they think about how to achieve their vision. They determine the exact steps to get from point A to point B.
A solid plan is essential.
Break the plan down into small steps and monitor your progress. Celebrate your successes when you accomplish a step in your plan or achieve one of the goals you have made for yourself.
Your vision and action plan guide your daily thoughts, decisions, and actions. No more drifting through the days and weeks, hoping money finds its way into your pocket.
8. They Make Their Luck And Attract Opportunity
People with money take action and develop a knack for being in the right spot at the right time.
Get busy working on your plan. Look for and embrace change. Change creates opportunities.
The famous hockey player Wayne Gretzky said, “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.” Thus, he developed his instincts to be in the right place at the right time.
I recommend honing your sixth sense. Skate to where the puck is going. You will have good luck when you get there.

People with money have a designated space to think about money and make financial plans and decisions.
They keep their cash and credit cards neatly organized in a wallet or purse. They streamline their finances and minimize the number of accounts.
So, assess your current money state. Get your financial facts together. Know where your money is at. Calculate your net worth and what makes it up.
10. They Adopt The Behaviors and Routines Of The Rich
People with money have good financial routines and practices. For example, they
- Maintain a monthly budget
- Have a cash emergency fund

People with money practice patience.
For example, does your idea of having money include becoming a millionaire? Then realized the average age of newly minted millionaires is 37.
Here is a quote from famed investor Warren Buffet to put having patience into perspective.
He said, “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
So let that be today’s last financial habit. Think long-term and practice patience along your financial journey.
